The Hances Move Too

This email came in a few weeks ago, silly me, I forgot to post it. Lois was nice enough to remind me:

Hi All,

Some of you know this already but for those that don’t, we have some news….we sold our house!  It was all very sudden with little time to do much other than pack and find a new place fast, which we did.  We found a nice rental in Madison 1.5 miles from our old house.  The move went fairly well aside from the fact that we were without phone service for three days (we haven’t officially joined the cell phone age yet) and internet for two weeks.  But we’re sloooowly getting settled in and are back in business as far as email goes. The basement is loaded with boxes that will only get unpacked as needed, because the plan is to start looking for another - smaller - house on a smaller lot.  I say we’re downsizing, whereas George likes to say we’re starting a new adventure.  I hope it’s a fun ride!

Our phone number hasn’t changed…

Hope all is well with everyone.

Lorraine

If you need their address feel free to email me. I was sad that I missed Kristen’s graduation party (still waiting on some pics btw - got ‘em!), but I’ll definitely make it to the next one at your new place.

Kristen sent along some pictures of the last night in the old Hance homestead not to mention some pictures of her graduation party - thx Kristen!

Lynn, It sounds like you may be related to us from family back in Italy. Do you know when your parents/grandparents came over to America?

My grandparents Frank Covati and Mary Gugilimetti were married in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s, not sure when they moved here but they had 15 children-certain of 11 boys and 2 girls but I also believe 2 died at birth. My grandmother was from Piacenza and my grandfather from Argentina, they met in Italy before coming here. They spent some time in New York City before moving to Rockland County N.Y. hat part of Italy were your relatives from?
